The shelling of the Russian invaders damaged the main gas pipeline and cut off the gas supply to Donetsk and Luhansk regions

On May 23, 2022, shelling damaged the main gas pipeline that transported gas to the settlements of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. From 14:00, natural gas supply to this section of the GTS has been suspended.

Currently, the damaged section of the gas pipeline is localized, but the restoration and resumption of gas transportation are impossible due to the ongoing hostilities. There are no alternatives to transporting gas to the regions due to unauthorized interference in GTS operations on the territory occupied by Russian troops. We are reminding you that on May 11, 2022, GTSOU experts fixed the closing of valves in CS Novopskov on the main gas pipeline transporting gas to the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

To protect themselves, consumers in Donetsk and Luhansk regions need to follow the recommendations of regional DSOs.

GTSOU employees remain in the regions and are in constant contact with the military and representatives of military-civil administrations to begin the restoration of damaged gas transportation infrastructure at the earliest opportunity.
