January 9, 2021, at 3:50 p.m., according to operational information, the main gas pipeline Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhhorod in the Poltava region near the Lubny town was
depressurized. The accident did not cause any casualties.

GTSOU repair crews are working at the place of the incident, at the moment the accident is localized. There is no danger for residents of neighboring settlements. GTSOU is working to restore a stable gas supply to consumers. There is no threat to the supply of gas to neighbouring settlements or threat to gas transit.

The GTSOU is taking action in accordance with the Emergency Localization and Elimination Plan and has already reported regarding the incident to the National Police, The State Emergency Service of Ukraine and Security Service of Ukraine. The investigation will determine the probable causes of the accident, including the possibility of sabotage.
