The Gas TSO of Ukraine’s team participated in the annual E-World Energy & Water conference in Essen (Germany).
The GTSOU delegation presented to international traders and particiapnts of the European gas markets the changes in the operation of the Ukrainian GTS that occurred in 2024 as well as forecasts for 2025.
The GTSOU offers alternative gas transmission routes and increased firm capacity for gas transmission through Ukraine. In particular, in the new regulatory period, the firm capacity for entry point from the EU has been notably enhanced to 65.2 mcm per day. Alongside traditional routes from Slovakia, Hungary and Poland, a new firm capacity of 7 mcm per day from the Trans-Balkan direction has been established. Meanwhile, the capacity of the exit points to the EU and Moldova has remained unchanged at over 200 mcm per day.
“In 2025, we have already confirmed the reliability of the Ukrainian gas transmission system and fulfilled all commitments to our customers. We are working on accessing new gas sources by creating transportation routes from LNG terminals in Poland, Greece, Germany as well as production facilities in Norway. Additionally, we have ensured stable conditions for our customers and maintained previous tariffs for the short-haul service until the end of the first quarter of 2025,” said Vadym Rybachuk, Commercial Director of GTSOU.
