GTSOU – winner of “HR-brand Ukraine” award in the nomination “The State as an Employer”

Gas TSO of Ukraine became the winner of the “HR-Brand Ukraine” professional award in the nomination “The State as an Employer”. This is another recognition of company’s efforts on implementation of modern approaches to HR management, as well as development and social protection of the employees, especially amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the projects realized in GTSOU was the comprehensive transformation of the HR management function of the state-owned enterprise during and after the completion of the unbundling of GTSOU. This transformation involved increasing HR efficiency of business processes:

  • organizational and management structure;
  • personnel selection;
  • training, development and motivation systems;
  • remuneration and performance management systems.

As a result, the company not only successfully went through the processes of unbundling, but also introduced quite a range of HR-initiatives aimed at the effective implementation of the strategic objectives of the GTSOU.

“Unbundling of the Ukrainian GTS has become one of the most difficult challenges for the energy sector of Ukraine, which also required a significant transformation of the personnel management function. Highly qualified professionals, working in GTSOU, ensure reliability of gas supply to millions of Ukrainian and European consumers. That is why it was important for us not only to effectively go through the processes of unbundling, but also to create all conditions for the implementation of initiatives aimed at attracting, retaining and developing our talents as well as increasing the company’s attractiveness as a responsible and modern employer.  It is gratifying that our efforts have been positively assessed by both employees and the experts,” said Dmytro Sorochenko, HR Director of GTSOU.
