General Director of GTSOU Dmitro Lyppa, together with the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk, held a meeting with representatives of production companies to discuss development plans and search for effective technical solutions in the light of prolonged hostilities and the new heating season.
The topic of the meeting was the companies’ plans to maintain and increase gas production and the possibility of the Ukrainian GTS to contribute to the strategy to increase production in all regions of Ukraine.
Artem Petrenko, Head of the Association of Gas Producing Companies of Ukraine, noted that Ukrainian producers are the guaranteed and reliable customers for gas transportation services. “The war has affected the industry, gas production companies have repeatedly come under missiles fire. Despite all the difficulties, the companies continue to work and produce gas, strengthening the country’s energy security. Growth in domestic gas production is a common goal for both the state and the producers,” said Artem Petrenko.
The participants discussed the issues of optimizing the GTS operation, the need to introduce measures aimed at improving the quality of natural gas, connecting to the gas transmission network, expanding electronic interaction and transferring to the electronic form of documents submission to the Operator’s Platform.
The participants of the meeting discussed not only the current military working conditions, but also the future — the topology of promising production regions, further reform of the gas market, joint plans for decarbonization, and research into hydrogen potential.
“We greatly appreciate the efforts of Ukrainian producers to provide the country with gas, which means both heat and light. Our team works to ensure that Ukrainian gas encounters fewer obstacles on its way to the consumer. Therefore, it is very important that our plans with you are synchronized and coordinated,” said Dmytro Lyppa, thanking for the fruitful meeting.
