State of operation of the Ukrainian GTS, March 7, 2022

GTSOU managed to provide the technical possibility to resume gas transportation to Izyum (Kharkiv region) through the Izyum GDS. At the same time, Kharkivgaz specialists are restoring the gas distribution networks and launching the city’s gas supply.

In Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions, 35 gas distribution stations have been shut down due to the military aggression of the Russian occupiers. The most critical situation is in Kyiv and Donetsk regions, where about a million people are left without gas. Resumption of gas transportation is currently extremely difficult due to significant damage to regional gas networks and active hostilities. Residents of these regions found themselves on the brink of a humanitarian disaster – without heat and the opportunity to cook. Specialists of GTSOU and local, regional gas companies are doing everything possible to minimize the number of shutdowns and restore gas supply.

The company controls the operational management of the gas transmission system despite military action and continues to transport gas for the needs of Ukraine. According to operative information, GTSOU transported 78.8 million cubic meters of gas for domestic consumers (March 6, 2022).
