The gas pipeline in the Kharkiv region was damaged as a result of an airstrike

GTSOU site suffered from an airstrike: two gas pipeline strings to the gas distribution station (GDS) Izyum (Kharkiv region) were damaged in the result of the attack.

As of 2.55 a.m. on March 2, 2022, due to damage to the gas pipeline, employees of the GTSOU are forced to deactivate GDS Izyum and Brazhkivka. Due to this, the gas transportation to the city of Izium was stopped. More than 40,000 city residents will are left without gas.

“A targeted attack on critical infrastructure is a terrorist act against the civilian population of Ukraine,” said Serhiy Makogon, CEO of GTSOU.

In this regard, the company is preparing an appeal to law enforcement agencies.

According to preliminary information, there are no victims of the explosion among the employees. Gas transportation will be resumed after appropriate repairs as soon as possible.
