Gas TSO of Ukraine and GAZ-SYSTEM launched consultations on incremental cross-border capacity

On October 30, 2023, Gas TSO of Ukraine and Polish GTS operator GAZ-SYSTEM launched public consultations for draft proposals for incremental capacity project at the state border between Poland and Ukraine.

The respective project was prepared by the TSOs based on the non-binding demand indications received from stakeholders of the natural gas market during the market demand assessment conducted between July 3, 2023 and August 28, 2023.

TSOs propound a description of the new (incremental) capacity project (suggested technical solution, estimated costs, preliminary schedule of the new (incremental) capacity project and the suggested combined capacity level).

For the customers of transportation services, the TSOs have also developed general terms and conditions to gain access to capacities during the binding phase of capacity allocation of the new (incremental) capacity procedure:

Interested participants can submit their comments to the draft project proposal for the incremental capacity project between Polish GTS and Ukrainian GTS, as well as to the general terms and conditions, before November 30, 2023. Background information:

Public consultations take place in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/459 of 16 March 2017 establishing a network code on capacity allocation mechanisms in gas transmission systems and repealing Regulation (EU) No 984/2013 (CAM NC) and according to the requirements of point 3 of Subsection 2 of Section XX of the GTS Code.
