March 29, 2021 – Gas TSO of Ukraine entered the TOP-25 of the best employers in Ukraine – the traditional rating of the “Power of Money” magazine. This is another recognition of the Company’s active efforts to develop and socially protect employees, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
When compiling this year’s rating, the magazine paid special attention to maintaining the number of jobs and the level of wages in Companies, opportunities for professional and career growth. One of the important criteria that was taken into account in the final assessment of the rating is the successful confrontation to the challenges of the pandemic.
In the context of COVID-19, the priority for GTSOU is to preserve the life and health of employees. From the first days of fixing the coronavirus in Ukraine, the Company began to actively implement preventive measures. We have reorganized our work and more than 2,700 employees have moved to remote work from their homes. Those colleagues who work directly on industrial sites, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted gas transportation to all Ukrainians and EU countries, were provided with personal protective equipment. We also introduced new rules and recommendations for monitoring the health of employees, distancing and limiting contacts, as well as regularly disinfecting workplaces.
“More than ten thousand employees work in GTSOU, and we take full responsibility for their safety and well-being. Therefore, the company pays special attention to protecting our employees and ensuring safe working conditions. Now we are organizing a company-wide vaccination campaign against COVID-19, which is going to cover the maximum amount of employees,” – said Dmytro Sorochenko, HR Director of GTSOU. – At the same time GTSOU continues to implement initiatives aimed at attracting, retaining and social protection of our employees. For example, we are building an effective system of development for our pool of candidates, first of all, for keeping the unique specialized expertise inside the company, using the potential of the best employees, promoting them on their career ladder to vacant management positions”.
It should be reminded that this is not the first victory of GTSOU in the ratings of the best employers. Previously the company entered into the Top 50 best employers of the country – a joint rating of Forbes Ukraine and the service Work.ua. GTSOU occupied the second place among energy companies and 29th place in the overall rating.
