GTSOU and Snam have been cooperating for many years. The Italian TSO is one of the world’s leading energy operators and the international partners that have accompanied our company at various stages of development, promoted Ukraine’s integration into the European gas market, advised GTSOU in the unbundling process, cooperated in unlocking the potential of Ukraine’s gas transportation infrastructure and its modernization. Today, our Italian colleagues have not left Gas TSO of Ukraine alone with the difficulties and the war challenges.

Snam has handed over 101 portable generators to GTSOU, which are extremely necessary for our specialists to perform repair and restoration works in “field conditions” at facilities damaged due to hostilities, as well as for maintenance of GTS equipment. In addition, the Italian TSO provided GTSOU with 9,000 m of electric cable. We will use it to restore automation of technological processes and power supply to damaged facilities.

Before the Russian invasion on February 24, together with Snam, we studied the possibility of transporting renewable gases. Gas TSO of Ukraine was adopting the experience of the Italian operator in implementing innovative programs to increase productivity and reduce costs, as well as digitalization of operational and technological processes by European standards. Therefore, it is hard to believe that today our employees must repair pipelines under fire. After the victory, we expect future cooperation with Snam on the perspective projects.
