State of Ukrainian GTS operation as of April 18, 2022, 3 p.m.

Despite the russian military aggression, Gas TSO of Ukraine continues providing gas transportation services for the needs of Ukrainian consumers – industry, institutions, households, and energy infrastructure.

Due to the damage to the gas infrastructure, 39 out of 1395 GDSs in six regions of Ukraine remain disconnected. At the same time, more than 60% of disconnected GDSs are in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, currently suffering from military aggression. The main reason for stopping these GDSs is damage to gas distribution networks due to shelling and difficulties in accessing facilities due to the ongoing hostilities.

Thus, today, as a result of shelling in the Donetsk region, the gas distribution networks of Donetskoblgaz JSC were damaged. Upon the request of the regional DSO, one gas distribution station was stopped. Almost 8,000 consumers were left without a gas supply.

Several disconnected GDSs remain on the territories liberated from the occupiers. Access to them and adjacent gas distribution networks is difficult due to mining risk. GTSO specialists continue restoring gas transmission infrastructure and providing gas to Ukrainian consumers in cooperation with distribution system operators, local administrations, and the military.
