State of Ukrainian GTS condition as of March 11, 2022, 14:00

On the morning of March 11, due to active hostilities in the Luhansk region, the air section of the gas pipeline near the Popasna GDS was damaged, leaving more than 20 thousand residents of the town and localities without gas. Due to the shelling in the Kharkiv region, the Volokhiv Yar GDS was stopped, and gas was supplied through an alternative route.

The company’s specialists repair the damaged infrastructure, but the restoration work is complicated due to the military operations. With this regard, today, GTSOU employees tried to start renovating the high-pressure gas pipeline to the GDS “Vuhlehirska TPP” in the Donetsk region, which was damaged on March 10 but came under fire and had to evacuate.

Currently, 33 gas distribution stations remain shut down. There is one damage to the Kramatorsk-Donetsk-Mariupol main gas pipeline, which is responsible for transporting gas to localities in the south of the Donetsk region and part of the Zaporizhia region. Fierce fighting is taking place in the area where the damage is located, so it is not possible to eliminate the accident. Other main gas pipelines usually operate.

GTSOU continues carrying out operational control over the gas transmission system. During the day on March 10, the company transported 104.8 million cubic meters of gas for the needs of Ukraine.
