GTSO dispatchers recorded a sharp jump in pressure in the gas transmission system, which indicates damage to the main gas pipeline Kramatorsk-Donetsk-Mariupol due to shelling by the Russian occupiers. Due to the inability to maintain pressure, the pipeline was closed, without gas supply to 24 GDSs in the region. About a million consumers in Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions will be left without a gas supply. Gas companies are looking for technical solutions to minimize losses and return gas supply to consumers. It is impossible to start eliminating the accident due to the high intensity of hostilities.
Currently, 39 gas distribution stations in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions remain shut down.
On the previous day, March 5, Gas TSO of Ukraine transported 75.4 mcm of gas for domestic consumers. The company controls the operational management of the system and does everything possible in these extraordinary conditions to restore and ensure gas transportation to Ukrainian consumers.
